Title: Upon a Star
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia

Summary: Peter wishes. Drabble.
A/N: Written for the Trouble prompt @ [info]100foraslan.

The gun is awkward in his hands, the boots make him trip, the weight on his back pulls him down, his helmet digs into his scalp. The soldiers at his side call him Peter.

He looks at the stars, wishing. He needs to remember who he was, so he can change what he is.

He wishes things are different, wish upon a star.

He wields a sword expertly and his brother fights alongside him. His sister is here, too, calming, steadying him. Another sister, younger, lifts his spirits with a smile.

He wears a crown, and they call him Magnificent.

A/N: I always thought it would be interesting to tackle the What If? of Peter going off to fight in the War. :)

I actually really love it when drabbles manage a comparison, especially in only 100 words, it's pretty impressive.

The only thing is, I don't see how this could be immediately tied to trouble. I see it loosely, but not very much.

Oh and thank you for fixing the cut! I looked foward to reading it :]

I'm glad you liked the drabble!

I thought of it relating to trouble in the sense that Peter's struggling in the war. If you think it doesn't fit, I can always remove it from the comm. :)

This is a very beautiful drabble. I like it a lot.
And I rather like the "What If" idea of Peter being sent to war. It is really interesting.
